SALES POLICY

We are currently taking reservations on goat kids for the 2025 kidding season. We may also have does in milk available after kidding.

See our Kidding Schedule page for details on this year's breedings.

See our Goats for Sale page for details on goats currently available for purchase.

Reservations:

Goat kid reservations made prior to the birth of the kid, are free. If you are interested in a kid from a particular breeding, let us know when you are placing your reservation.  If you are looking for something in particular (show prospects, heavy milking lines, other attributes), let us know and we'll steer you in the right direction.  HighFields Farm reserves the right to retain any goat kid born on the farm. Once the kids are born, we will notify those with reservations first of the kids available.  If you decide to purchase the kid, half of the purchase price will be required to hold the kid until ready for pickup.  Reservation deposits are non-refundable. Remainder of purchase price is due at the time of pickup.

Guarantees:

All animals will be guaranteed healthy at time of sale.  Because we cannot control stress that may occur as a result of transport or the animals environment and care once it leaves our farm, we cannot offer any further guarantees.  That said, we care greatly about the health of all our goat kids, and are always available to answer questions or provide assistance.  However, our advice shall not take place of the care of a licensed veterinarian.

Sale Policy:

Goat kids will be available for pickup at 4 or 8 weeks of age depending on new owner's comfort with bottle feeding. Kids picked up at 4 weeks of age will require bottle feeding for at least 4 additional weeks. Balance due is required at time of pickup. Goats must be picked up within 2 weeks of sale unless other arrangements have been made.  Animals not picked up on time will be charged a boarding fee of $3 a day.  Buyers are responsible for all costs associated with transport of goats to their location, including veterinary costs associated with health certificates or other paperwork required for transport. Each kid will be hornless (polled or disbudded), will have received CDT vaccination, and cocci preventative.  Most bucks out of first fresheners will be offered as wethers with final decisions made after does freshen. Bucklings purchased as wethers must be brought back to the farm around 12 weeks of age for banding (included in sale price) or may be wethered at the new owner's expense. Does and bucks will be tattooed and provided with the required paperwork for ADGA registration or registration can be submitted online by the seller at the buyer's expense.  Wethers will not come with registration papers.
